Students Activities:

Sports Committee conducted cricket match for the students at Shenoy Grounds on 01-04-2023.

Cultural Committee conducted Dance competitions on 03-04-2023.

Literary Committee conducted quiz in English and Telugu on 04-04-2023.

Literary Committee conducted Word Game & Debate on 05&06-04-2023.

Floral tributes were paid to Sri Babu Jagjivan Ram on his birthday on 05-04-2023

The college annual day ‘Vjoys-2k23’ was celebrated on 20 th April at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan.
Prof. D. Ravinder garu, Hon. Vice Chancellor, Osmania University, was the chief guest for the occasion.
Sri. J. Seshagiri Rao garu, General Secretary, VJ, and Sri V. Rajashekar garu, Vice President, VJ,& Chairman VJIAS, were the guests of honor.
Sri. K. Durga Prasad garu, Vice President, VJ, was present to bless the students and also gaveaway some prizes to the winners of competitions. Sri Y. J. Venkata Rao garu & Smt. & Sri

Narne Prabhakar garu, former chairmen, VJIAS, graced the occasion and presented the gold medals instituted by them for Sciences & English respectively to the toppers. The CEO of VJ,
Dr. Satya Sai Kumar garu was present and he interacted with the students and gave them some
pointers for anchoring. Principal of VJPS Smt. Aruna garu and the heads of institutions, Dr. V.Sathaiah garu, Sri Manohar Singh garu, Sri C. Sudhakar garu & Dr. J. Nageshwar garu were
present, representing their institutions

The program started with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries and the prayer sung by students. Mr. Samson of B.Com final year gave the welcome address and this was followed by the annual report presented by the Principal Dr. N. Aruna garu. It was a comprehensive report highlighting the achievements of the faculty and students of VJIAS. The Director, Dr. D. Vijaya Prasad garu gave his message befitting the occasion. Following which Sri Seshagiri Rao garu gave his message saying that he was happy with the growth of the college and that we should get ready to go to a bigger campus under the umbrella of VJ University in the near future. Sri V.
Rajashekar garu gave his message befitting the occasion, complimenting and praising the efforts of the faculty and students for the conduct of the program.

Sri. Er. J S Rao garu declared that he would institute a Gold Medal in VJIAS in the name of his father Sri. J Krishna Murthy garu, who was the first General Secretary of Vignana Jyothi, during its formative years.

The chief guest Prof D. Ravinder garu, Hon. Vice Chancellor, Osmania University, addressed the gathering and motivated the students to work hard to achieve their goals. He presented gold
medals to the toppers of Commerce & Management streams. He was felicitated by the guests of honor with a shawl and memento and was thanked for making time to grace the occasion in the
midst of his busy schedule.

Prize distribution continued with the dignitaries giving away the prizes. The formal part of the event came to an end, after that, with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Likhitha.

The second half of the event started with the cultural program. Most of the performances were based on themes like, classical dance, Mahanati Savithri, Madhuri Dixit, Farmers, Oscars, Unity
in Diversity, Old age homes, Ill-effects of using Cell phones, yoga and SDGs.

The welcome dance was performed by Ms. Vaishnavi from BBA final year and Ms. Shriya from B.Com I year. The other dances and skits followed and the event came to an end at 4 PM with
the singing of the National Anthem. This year Dr. T. Rama, Vice-Principal along with Ms.Vaishnavi from BBA final year gave a classical dance performance, first of its kind in this institute.

All the people present were served with sumptuous snacks by the management. The program was conducted smoothly without a hitch under the supervision of the entire faculty. Staff, students
and parents enjoyed the event a lot along with the faculty.
