Activities of July, 2023
Faculty Development Program:
- Principal Dr. Aruna conducted a workshop on filing IT Returns for all the faculty on 27-07-2023.
- Ms. Rachana, faculty from the B.Com Dept. made a presentation to the other members on TED Talks- How to prepare for them on 27-07-2023.
- Ms. Jahnavi, faculty, Commerce Dept. made a presentation on the Basics of Income Tax for all the other members of the faculty. Ms. Sandhya Telugu faculty wrote the summary of the song sent by our Director Dr. Vijaya Prasad and read it out for everyone on 28-07-2023.
Students Activities:
Orientation Program was held for the first year students on 31-07-2023. Around 80 students and some parents attended the program. Report enclosed–Annexure–III, Page 9
Foundation Day:
- 12th Foundation Day of VJIAS was celebrated on 14-07-2023 with great enthusiasm in college. The Director and Principal spoke on the occasion and some students from different classes performed dances and entertained the audience. The faculty and staff visited an orphanage to commemorate the foundation day, and donated utensils and other items that were requested by them. Some games were conducted for the inmates and prizes were distributed to the winners. Dr. Vijaya Prasad, director donated money for the items that were got for the orphanage.
- Ms. M. Anuradha from Commerce Department and Ms. T. Radhika from Computer Science Department got selected for Ph.D Program in Presidency University, Banglore which is 7th top University out of 200 Universities in India. They underwent entrance test and interview on 22-07-2023 and got admission on 12-08-2023.
