Students Activities:
- A certificate course in Life Skills & Employability Skills was offered by the company Amazon and was conducted from 24-01-2024 till 02-02-2024
- Mobile repairing & laptop repairing one month certificate course by MSME was conducted from 01-01-2024 to 16-02-2024
- Final year students were taken to Parle Industries for an industrial tour. 75 students with 5 teaching faculty and 2 staff members went for the tour.
- ‘Break Thru’, a life changing workshop, was conducted for first year students by Mr. Anand a freelance trainer, on 07-02-2024.
- Informatique Exhib’IT’ 2024 – a tech fair exhibiting innovative and emerging technologies in all fields, was held on 09-02-2024 in college. A total of 14 teams with 40 students from all streams and batches participated in the exhibit.
NSS Activities:
- On February 14th, 2019, a tragic incident occurred in Pulwama, in Jammu & Kashmir, marking a dark chapter in the history of India. The Pulwama attack was a terrorist stike that targeted a convoy of Indian paramilitary personnel, resulting in a significant loss of lives and leaving a lasting impact on the nation. All the students and faculty took a rally in the area around the college, and the main road from civil courts and water works, to Shenoy Nursing Home road, to commemorate and pay tribute to the martyrs of Pulwama Attack.
- Students participated in Community Hands-Only CPR on 9th & 10th February, 2024 at Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad.
- Our students participated in the Youth convention program conducted by Ramakrishna math on the commemorate the 131 anniversary of Swamy Vivekananda’s first Historic speech celebrations on 12-02-2024 at Mahaboob College, Secunderabad
Any other Information:
- The principal Dr. Aruna held a staff meeting on 21-02-2024 to apprise the faculty and staff of the arrangements for the forthcoming National Seminar to be held on 23 Feb. She instructed everyone of their respective committees and duties for that day.
- A National Seminar on ‘Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in the Digital Age’ was conducted by the Management Department in college on 23-02-2024. Dr. Sowmya Mishra, IPS, was the chief guest for the inaugural session. Sri Suresh Babu, President, VJ. Sri. Seshagiri Rao, GS, VJ, Sri. V. Rajasekhar, Vice President VJ, Chairman VJIAS, Sri. K. Durga Prasad Vice-President, VJ, Sri. Achyutha Ram Prasad, Joint Secretary, VJ, Dr. D. N. Rao member VJ, Sri Y. J. Venkata Rao, member VJ, graced the inaugural session and gave messages befitting the theme.
- A meeting by Principal was held on 26-02-2024 at 4:30PM with Commerce department regarding completion of syllabus and upcoming ‘Commerce Fest’.
- A meeting was held on 28-02-2024 by the Principal with the Admission Committee to discuss ways to promote admissions for the next academic year.
REPORT ON ‘LAPTOP & DESKTOP REPAIR’ & ‘MOBILE REPAIR’ CERTIFICATE COURSES
Two certificate courses in ‘Laptop & Desktop Repair’ and ‘Mobile Repairing’ were started on January 11, 2024, for the students of Semesters IV and VI. It’s a one-month course offered free of cost. Classes were conducted every day for 2 hours from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. Mr. Sudarshan, a freelancer, initiated these courses in coordination with NIMSME. Mr. Bipin for Mobile Repairing and Mr. Hussain for Laptop & Desktop Repairing from NSIC trained the students.
A batch of 25 students each participated in these courses. As part of the certificate course curriculum, videos were taken by students on their topics with a live demo. Our students shared their experiences & feedback on the courses. On February 16, 2024, these courses were concluded, and certificates were distributed to the participants by the program director, Ms. V. Swapna, Associate Faculty of SEM (School of Enterprise Management), NIMSME, and our Principal, Dr. N. Aruna.

REPORT ON INFORMATIQUE EXHIB’IT’-2024
On 9th February 2024, Department of Sciences Organized the Event “Informatique Exhib’IT’-2024”. The main aim of this exhibit is to showcase the technical talents from undergraduate students. It is open to all the students of the VJIAS. To meet the competitive world in this digital era, the VJIAS dais is open to encourage student talents.
Like every year, the Faculty motivated the students to come with different ideas in Hardware, Software Application design, Aurdino, IoT & Innovative Technologies, usage of websites and etc.,
As a part of Academic growth to the students, the college provides an opportunity to enroll into paid or unpaid certificate courses. some of our students who enrolled into Cyber Security and AI, Hardware and Networking Certificate Course, Mobile Repair Certificate Course, Laptop Repair Certificate Course, has shown their learnt talents in this exhibition event. These courses were dealt by resource person from MSME, Central Govt. Organizations, Indian Servers Organizations, etc.
15 teams with 45 students participated. Some sample projects are Weather Monitoring system, Rain detector, Surveys on mobiles & Website development. Train Obstacle Detection, Power generating by solar panels and its usage,etc.
The judges are Ms. D.Sujatha from Dept of Management, Ms. Jahnavi from Commerce Dept. and Mr. Sathish from Mathematics Dept declared their Judgment.
The First Prize winner was Lokesh and his Team from B.Com 2nd year.
The Second Prize winner was Raju and his Team from B.com 2nd year.
The Third Prize winner was Anusha and her Team from BBA 1st year.
The consolation Prizes winners are Anand Rao and his Team from B.Sc 1st year and Sushanth and his team from B.com 1st year.

A National Seminar on “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in the Digital Age” – 23.02.2024
The seminar aims to bridge the gap between the industry and the academia by providing a platform for bringing together entrepreneurs, faculty, scholars and the students to discuss issues related to entrepreneurs. It also aims to involve all the stakeholders to deliberate an idea that can be adopted by entrepreneurs in the digital age.
Objectives of the seminar
• To promote women entrepreneurship and budding entrepreneurs
• To provide a platform for discussion on the current scenario of women entrepreneurship in the digital era.
• To empower women entrepreneurs through digital platforms.
Several Industrialists, academia from various universities, faculties and
students from different colleges participated and presented their points of
view on the theme of the National seminar.
The inaugural session started at 10:30 am. The program started with a
lightening of the lamp and prayer song invoking God’s blessings. The prayer
song was sung by Ms. Keerthana, Ms. Nikhila and Ms. Anusha.
Welcome address was given by Dr. Rama, Vice Principal, VJIAS. Students
honored all dignitaries with the Potted plants and badges in the seminar.
Dr. N. Aruna Principal, Seminar Director, gave speech on Vignette of the
college and theme of the seminar and its importance in the present day
world.
The Director, Dr. Vijaya Prasad, Seminar Advisor, spoke about the
importance of Empowering women in the current scenario.

Dr. Suresh Babu garu, Director, Suresh Productions Pvt. Ltd., President,
VJ, spoke on empowering women drew upon his experiences; spoke about the
conservative mindset evolving into more progressive open-minded
perspective. Encouraged the participants to explore their potential and
become entrepreneurs. “If not now it’s never” was the message to all the
women participants

Dr. Sowmya Mishra, IPS Director General, Prisons and Correctional
Services, Hyderabad, TS
has addressed the gathering. She initiated her talk on the topic of the
seminar expressed how digitalization has opened up unprecedented
opportunities for women to explore and sustain themselves in the world of
digital era. Speaking on the boundless opportunities in the world of
digital world she said e-commerce platforms, creativity and content
creation etc are some of the areas in which women are actively involved.
She also touched upon the cyber security problems faced by the women
entrepreneurs such as cyber bullying, online abuse, physical safety etc.
She assured that Police Department strives for the prevention of such
crimes. She said if half of the population is not contributing to the
economy of the country how can the nation prosper. Statically 26% of the
total population of women is not using the digital media and phones. This
gap can be bridged by providing access to finance, building conducive
environment, providing mentorships, tax concession would promote more
opportunities for women to evolve as women entrepreneurs. This
transformation of women to entrepreneurship has to be encouraged, supported
and celebrated.

sharing, and networking among stakeholders. Discussions across sessions
underscored the imperative of harnessing digital technologies to create
equitable opportunities for women in entrepreneurship. Participants
reaffirmed their dedication to implementing the outcomes of the seminar,
fostering collaboration, and creating a more inclusive and equitable
entrepreneurial ecosystem.
