Report on Annual Day VJoys 2k19, 25,27 April 2019
The college Annual Day VJoys 2k19 was held on 25th April 2019 at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan, Secunderabad.
The chief guest was Prof. R. Limbadri, vice-chairman, TSCHE and Prof. of Public Administration, Osmania University.
The President of Vignana Jyothi Dr. D.N. Rao, Sri.Seshagiri Rao, Vice-President, VJ, Sri K. Harishchandra Prasad, General Secretary, VJ, Sri Narne Ajay, Joint Secretary, VJ, Sri. Achyutha Ramprasad, Special Invitee, EC, VJ, Sri. Narne Prabhakar former chairman, VJIAS, graced the occasion, gave messages and distributed prizes.
The program started at 11 AM with the Chief Guest and the dignitaries lighting the lamp. It was followed by a prayer song sung by faculty and students.
The Principal Dr. Aruna gave the Annual Report and the Director Dr, Vijaya Prasad addressed the gathering and gave information on the role of TSCHE, Prof. Limbadri and the exemplary work done by VJ Society for the cause of education.
Then the General Secretary Sri K. Harishchandra Prasad gave his message befitting the occasion. He said that the students are the future of the nation and hence value-base education in colleges should be provided. He advised the students to reach higher levels in life as they have the strength and energy to do so. He asked them to learn time management and utilize their time effectively.
The President of Vignana Jyothi Dr. D.N. Rao addressed the gathering and talked about students being the future of the nation and hence should focus on priorities, innovation and happiness and work accordingly. He said that money is not the only thing that contributes to happiness and that doing service to society is more important. The progress of the country is measured by its material progress but it should be measured by its happiness quotient or happiness index.
The Chief Guest Prof. Limbadri addressed the students and said that the education system was changing in the state and the country. He said that lack of good degree colleges in the state is driving away the students to other states. He said that the Government of Telangana is planning to start good degree colleges to provide quality education at that level. He praised the Vignana Jyothi Society for providing excellent education loaded with values. He congratulated the VJ Society for being accredited with A++ by NAAC. He opined that colleges should follow new methodology of teaching and students should improve their skills and adopt new technology to be successful in their lives and careers.
The chief guest’s address was followed by prize distribution. Gold medals for the toppers of all streams, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA & for the topper in English, prizes for the winners of Literary, Cultural & Sports events, were awarded by the dignitaries.
Prize distribution was followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest Prof. Limbadri by the VJ President & GS. All the dignitaries were also presented with mementos to mark the occasion.With this the first part of the event came to an end.
Cultural programs began with a classical dance by Yugarani and Deepika of B.Com. After the first five performances on various themes like, Women Empowerment, the Pulwama Attack, tribute to the actress Sridevi, Rajasthani folk dance- Ghoomar, Dance Icons of Indian Cinema, a break was announced. The President, Dr. D.N. Rao was very much impressed with the performance of Yugarani and Jahnavi and presented them with mementos to show his appreciation.
After the snack break when sumptuous snacks were provided by the college management, the cultural programs continued. The final program was a skit by faculty based on the students’ careless attitude in college and the consequences of not improving themselves with certificate courses, communication skills and general lack of interest.
All the programs were well executed and of good quality. The event was concluded with the National Anthem.

VJ Scholarships:
This year out of all the students around 28 students were selected for the scholrship. The selection of student was based on four parameters ie. Financial status, academic performance, behaviour and attendance. These students are provided with a scholarship around Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 5,000 each and the total amount of scholarship is Rs. 1,14,000.
Report on Certificate Distribution Ceremony 10 May 2019
A certificate distribution ceremony was held on 7 May 2019 at 10:30 A.M. The chief guest for the event was Sri Er. J Seshagiri Rao, Vice President, VJ. Sri Y.J. Venkata Rao, Chairman GB, VJIAS presided over the function.
VJ Scholarships were awarded to 28 students from II & III year B.Com, B.Sc & BBA streams.
Certificates for the certificate courses conducted in the college like, IIHT& GST, Certificates for NSS Winter Special Camp participants, merit certificates for the participants of the National Essay Writing Event 2018, certificates for the participants of Informatique Exhib’IT’ and certificates for the winners of competitions held on Sanskrit Day were distributed by the chief guest. Mr. Harish from B.Com final year was presented a certificate of appreciation, for providing technical help for all the events in the college.
The coordinators of the certificate courses, Ms. T. Rama, (Communication Skills), Ms. Anuradha& Ms. Lydia (Commerce), and Ms. Radhika (Computer Secience) presented reports on the courses conducted by them. Dr. Shashidhar presented a report on the NSS Special Camp and the Sanskrit Day celebrations. The Vice Principal, Ms. T. Rama gave the welcome address.
The Director Dr. Vijaya Prasad spoke about the chief guest and the importance of value adding certificate courses for the students. The chief guest gave a message to the students on the occasion. He advised the students to have clarity regarding what they want to do in the future and to choose courses that may help them to get jobs. He said that in this technological world students have to be tech savvy.
The Director felicitated Sri Seshagiri Rao and Sri Y.J. Venkata Rao and the program ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
All the faculty members Ms. Vijalakshmi- anchor, Ms.Shirisha, Ms. Pavani, (Prayer & profile reading), Ms. Divya Bharathi-(Vote of Thanks), Ms. Mary and Ms. Triveni, were involved in the conduct of the event in some capacity or the other.

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS- ‘Vjoys 2k18’
The college annual day ‘Vjoys 2k18’ was celebrated at Hari Hara Kala Bhavan, Secunderabad, on 29th January.
The chief guest for the program was Prof. G. Gopal Reddy-Member-UGC, New Delhi. The guest of honour was, Prof. T. Krishna Rao, OSD to VC, OU. The special guests were Shri. Y.J. Venkata Rao, who presided over the function and Chairman, GB, VJIAS, and Dr. D. N. Rao, President, VJ.
D.N. Rao garu in his address advised the students to work hard and said that money is not the only criterion for happiness in life. He said that the three important things one needs to have for happiness in life are Passion, Empathy and Giving. The main speakers Prof. T. Krishna Rao and Prof. G. Gopal Reddy gave their message. Prof. Gopal Reddy highlighted the greatness of Osmania University and importance of UGC. A book on “Telugu Sahithi Vignana Jyothulu” edited and brought out by our faculty Dr. B. Venkateswarlu and Mr. N. Shashidhar was released by the Chief Guest on this occasion.
CERTIFICATE DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY:
Certificate Presentation Ceremony was held on 18 April 2018. Sri Sarath Gopal, Gen. Sec. VJ & Sri Y.J. Venkata Rao, Chairman, GB, VJIAS were the guests. Certificates and cash awards for the State winners of Essay Writing Competition, VJ Scholarships to students, and Certificates for all the certificate courses, Tally, Networking & IIT Mumbai Online Spoken Tutorial, conducted in the college, were presented to all the participants.
A Informatique Exhib“IT”:
An exhibition, Informatique Exhib“IT” showcasing hardware and networking process was held by the students and faculty of Computer Science Dept on 17-03-2018
WOMENS’ DAY:
International Women’s Day was celebrated in the college on 08-03-2018. Faculty and Students gave Power Point Presentations and speeches. On behalf of the management all the women faculty and staff were felicitated with gifts and bouquets.
