Placement Activities: –
- Placement Committee organized a placement drive on 13-03-2024 by the company Amazon for the final year students through Magic Bus Foundation. 65 students participated in the drive.
Students Activities: –
- VJIM conducted their annual event, an intercollegiate literary, sports & cultural competition,‘Milan ‘24’ on 29 Feb, 1st & 2 March. On the third day, ‘Chrysalis’- the cultural competitions, were held. Three teams from B.Com I & II year, participated in the group dance category. Boys team from the II year won the first prize for their performance on patriotism. One of the girl teams won the second prize for their Sambalpuri folk dance.
- Saturday Seminar was conducted on 23-03-2024. There were seven participants from I and II year classes. They spoke on general topics like Teenagers, Time Management, Depression etc.
- Yoga class was conducted on 23-03-2024.
NSS Activities:
- NSS committee organized a Blood Donation Camp in college on 02-03-2024. 35 students and staff donated blood.
- Our NSS volunteers visited junior colleges on 12&14-03-2024 in and around Secunderabad and distributed pamphlets and pocket calendars to the students of Intermediate colleges and some parents of the students. This is being done as a promotional activity for our college to boost admissions for the forthcoming year. Around 250 mobile numbers have been collected from students and parents.
- Sri Satya Sai Youth Organisation, Hyderabad, held a Youth Empowerment Program at Balayogi Stadium, Gachibowli, on 04-03-2024. They organised motivational speeches on ‘Awakening Youth’. 41 girls from all classes, along with Dr. Shashidhar, Mr. Swami-librarian and Ms. Sudha Rani- Accountant participated in the program.
- A certificate course in spoken English is conducted from 21-03-2024 to 23-03-2024 for all the second year students. It is conducted by Saburi Educational Solutions. It is a 6 hour session divided into 2 hours everyday, for three days.
- Commerce Department organized a Commerce Fest in college on 28-03-2024. 40 students from all three year classes of B.Com course participated and presented models on many topics related to Commerce. For e.g., Digital Transformation of India, Cloud Computing, Start Up Finance, GST, IPR etc. 4 Teams conducted games related to team building.
Any other information:–
- International Women’s Day was celebrated in college today as 8th was a holiday. In this regard, a paper presentation competition on the theme “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in the Digital Age” was conducted for students. 18 Teams/individuals presented papers on topics related to the theme. The top three presentations were awarded cash prizes of Rs.5000, Rs. 3000 & Rs. 2000 respectively. All the faculty members were given gifts by the VJ management to honour them on account of Women’s Day.
